This means that when men are talking together as friends they take turns. This sounds very polite to me. They also talk about impersonal things like politics, sports, vacations or sex. They do not discuss feelings or personal ideas about anything. I think this is stupid. I know that when my friends are at my place everyone talks at the same time. Sometimes it is crazy. I think this woman made up the conversations in her article. Men do not talk the way she says, especially when they drink alcohol with their friends. I think she is lying.
